A.B.A.
is beneficial bacteria used to control toxic
nitrite and ammonia levels. In addition,
it instantly ages pond water, while controlling
algae and fish waste.
A.B.A. (AQUA BACTA AID)
is a dormantsuspension of 7 species of live
complimentary bacteria. ABA augments the
natural process of waste removal and improves
water quality by providing a more diverse
microbial population. ABA may be used in
ponds, raceways, tanks or hatcheries. ABA
may be used to treat off flavor. The bacteria
are harmless to man and aquatic organisms.
Applications: Ammonia levels between 1.0
and 3.0 ppm: 1/4 ppm ABA every week for
4 weeks. (Use 1.0 ppm when ammonia is in
excess of 3.0 ppm then follow with 1/4 ppm
every 4 weeks. Nitrite in the range 3 to
10 ppm can be controlled with 1/4 ppm treatment
every 4 weeks. Off-flavor may be treated
with an initial dose of 1 ppm followed by
1/4 ppm at 4 day intervals to reduce ammonia/nitrite/algae
levels until harvest.
